Two exhibitions in Antananarivo — October 2026 · Asi Kowalczewska Foundation

The next two exhibitions of the International Children’s Painting Competition of the name of Asi Kowalczewska will take place in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. Two schools, two communities, one shared belief — that art has the power to open doors for every child, regardless of where they come from.

First exhibition

Exhibition #1 · Madagascar

Lycée Privé La Printanière

Antananarivo, Madagascar

15 October 2026

The first exhibition will open on October 15th at Lycée Privé La Printanière — a large educational institution attended by 800 children from preschool through middle school.
La Printanière focuses on the development of each child, helping them find their path and their reason for being. The final works of the competition will be displayed in the school’s large hall — reaching hundreds of young eyes and hearts.

800 children. One school. One hall full of art created by children from all over the world. That is what the competition looks like when it travels to Africa.

Second exhibition

Exhibition #2 · Madagascar

Ecole associative l’île aux enfants

Anosibe, Antananarivo, Madagascar

16 October 2026

The second exhibition opens the following day at Ecole associative l’île aux enfants — a school-association led by a French president, located in the low-income neighbourhood of Anosibe in Antananarivo.
The school offers high-quality education to over 270 children from surrounding communities. Beyond primary education, it provides vocational training in cooking, teacher training and technical maintenance — helping young people acquire practical skills and prepare for the workforce.
The school also supports students after they graduate, helping them continue their studies or integrate into professional life.

Education that does not end at graduation. A school that believes in every child — just as our competition does. That is why we are here.
